Financial Details of Consultancy with Cura Bahrain
Introduction: as a service provider, Cura organizes all technical & payment operations in addition to supervision over work quality for a simple share of the consultation fees where the remaining big share belongs to doctors who provide the actual medical service.
For Paid Consultations Program Partners
Any consultation is considered paid if and only if approved by a medical committee based on specific standards which are commonly known in the medical field and follow below conditions:
- For Review listing, Consultation must be ended within a Week from its request date, if the period exceeded, it will be financially closed without eligibility review.
- Payments will be transferred upon request as been clarified in “The Doctors Dashboard”.
- Signing the agreement is a must to receive payments where all served consultations before signing date will not considered paid.
- You can request payments and object on a consultation eligibility; in addition you can request other service through “The Doctors Dashboard”.
- Open consultation(s) is/are not considered paid unless being closed
- Once verified that the doctor didn’t respond to one of his\her consultation, another approved served consultation value will be deducted.
- Cura management can suspend or reserve any doctor requested money in one of following cases: 1) if it’s verified that he\she owns Cura money or he\she wasn’t responsive to his\her consultation(s); or 2) extra money has been transferred from Cura to his/her account or any similar cases.
Actions will be taken when dealing with consultations based on the medical committee recommendations:
- Consultations Eligibility:
Consultation is considered eligible for payment when Cura user is being well served. Consultations will commonly not be paid for one of the following reasons:
- The user is simply not served, referred to other clinic or doctor, or the doctor’s answer is not detailed and doesn’t follow the medical practice such as history taking, collecting relevant info and giving an advice.
- The consultation that is not closed by the user or the doctor is still considered unserved.
In case the consultation has been ended by the system (which means the doctor didn’t respond at the right time), consultation fees will be returned to the customer and fees of one consultation will be deducted from the doctor’s credit.
Consultations pricing tiers:
In the paid consultations program, the fees for medical consultations follow the table below.
The main goal of pricing tiers is to put standard(s) for consultations prices and it is not aimed to classify doctors. In addition, this pricing tiers follow supply and demand rule which means the higher the price, the lower number of users you will attract. Thus, a consultant can serve in a lower pricing tier in order to get more consultations.

- Any doctor can change his\her pricing tier if he has the minimum required qualification to upon his\her request on the following link: “change pricing tier form“
(For Cura Primary Care/ Shifts Program doctors only)
- The doctor will commit to work on the selected shifts that are being scheduled bi-monthly.
- Paying for shifts will be 18bhd for the single shift which lasts for 8 hours.
- The doctors which being selected for shifts program can be selected by Cura management are not necessarily the ones who chose this program in the written agreement.
- Money transfer is being done periodically to the bank account number in the agreement.
- Being offline on your shift will cause you partial deduction or suspension from shifts program in specific cases.
- Cura management can change the shift fees based on the market needs and will inform the doctors of this change in a period of no less than two weeks in advance.
